didn't know it was black and white film until i picked it up today.

we've bonded

i've been taking holga out lately,
everywhere.

can't wait to get my roll back that i just developed.
(psst! took it to inkleys and they charged me $20 and it takes them 3 weeks.
called allens and they do it for $10 in three hours.
i took my business to allens.)

happy monday holiday.
today is an outing with the girls
and holga.

things i know for sure:
right things happen fast.
it's God's time; not ours.
obedience brings blessings.
faith is knowing that there are never dead ends; just different routes.
friends and family are great support, prayer, and listening lines.

still in shock where i am.
and kind of laughing about it.
(as i'm sure some of you are)
but i guess this is where i need to be for right now.

greetings from the nosebleeds

jake's christmas revolved around the jazz:
i gave him a retro d-will jersey,
his brother gave him a jazz hat,
and his mom-in-law gave him tickets.

we were destined to see the jazz play.

and since he is married to me,
i have to document the moments with pictures.
and, quite frankly,
asking a picture from him...

is like getting a four year old to sit still.
you should all be grateful for these ones.
oy.

but he was patient with my picture taking
so i was patient enough to sit there for 3 hours
and watch the ants below play ball.

we make it work.

we ended 2009 with a bang

we had a "mocktail" party.
(that's non alcoholic drinks my friends)

the menu called for:
pink champagne,
citrus collins,
and sangria.

yum yum.

we enjoyed our drinks,

friends,

and the "signing impaired" hubbies who stuck together
and watched t.v.
so cute.

so happy that i could end off the year and kick off a new year with such good people.

needless to say,
we had a good time.

when the ball dropped,
we toasted,
kissed,
and set off fireworks.
(literally and figuratively. gross!)

i basically became the best mormon bar tender.
call me up.
i'll throw you a party that you will actually remember!
