"happy gem-in-eye!" (aka 4th of July)

All day Myer chanted, "happy gem-in-eye!" meaning happy 4th of July.  He loved wearing red, white, and blue and that we had a flag waving in our front yard.  We had "gem-in-eye" pancakes, a "gem-in-eye" swim, and "gem-in-eye" rice krispie treats.  The best part were the fireworks.  Last year, Myer was scared of them, but this year he wanted to be right in the action.  He stood by Jake to light them and even held his own sparklers.  This was Myer's holiday.  I love celebrating with kids, especially with my family.  Happy Gem-in-Eye!
