it's totally cheesy
but i l.o.v.e michael jackson.

not for who he is personally, but as a dancer, choreographer, and pioneer. it's sad how the rest of his life played out, however, his earlier years were amazing. hopefully that's how everyone else can remember him. i've played some of his songs in mourning today.

and she gave me

her favorite things.

and she called them her favorite "canadian treats" which include cadbury chocolate and ketchup chips. she told me not to judge them before i tried them. ha! She also gave me her favorite herbal tea and the OPI nail polish which she said "is a perfect color for the summer!". Last but not least, she gave me a pendent made by her own hands. it's super cute that i have already worn. twice.

as you can see, i have already dived into the chocolate. (couldn't help myself). i also tried the ketchup chips....and...well...ketchup doesn't make a good flavor for chips, but it's always good to try something new :)

cute cousin mykel was sealed today with her new sweet husband matt.

they are both amazing
and simply perfect for each other.

basically the whole side of the thacker family was there (all 40 of us)
because my grandpa thacker was the sealer.
we're good at squishing when it's important :)

there is the man himself.
i love this man and all the qualities that i wish to have one day.

such an amazing experience to see your grandpa seal one of your cousins.
and it was pretty awesome to look around and see all your favorite people.
a little glimpse into the eternities
which i might add, looks pretty wonderful.

it's her birthday

and i lover her.
along with all of our memories:

pom poms and football games,
two-at-a saddle horse rides,
peppermint place along with the sugar,
pullin all nighters to decorate for school dances,
changing the gold tassel from the left to the right,
livin in a bus for two weeks,
cinderblock walls and sleepin through classes,
byu creamery and the wilk,
and throwing a jacket on me between each picture.

i couldn't wait any longer.
i had to post pics of the swap.

first, let me explain what "all my favorite things" swap is. my dear friend, stacey, hooked a bunch of us up into pairs. the rules were to exchange addresses and to send out our favorite things, hence the name, so we could learn something about someone we never met. so these are the items that i sent to canada-friend.

all my favorite things are:

homemade decorations like this lovely 'W',

a vintage necklace,

the matching frame and one of my new headbands.
(all of these were homemade. look at me getting all crafty!)

loved swap.
can't wait to get my package :)

the baby's gotta have goodies

yup. the thacker girls threw jamie and baby boy a shower.
and oh boy, it was a party.

of course the diaper cakes.
i can't take credit for them (i wish)
jamie's friend and aunt made them.
so darling.

and so was the baby vans!
this little boy is going to be stylin thanks to his aunt bryton.
