we tripled

in years that we've been married.

can't believe that i married jake morse from my high school.
little did i know how charming, sweet, hilarious, and gentlemanly he is.
we look at each other sometimes and laugh at how we ended up together.
but he is perfect for me.
and hopefully i am just as perfect for him.

my family is driving down to cali (today actually) to celebrate christmas with my "snowbird" grandparents. so we had our pretend christmas on sunday.

is a college graduate.

no more papers,
textbooks,
or tests.

tonight

we are celebrating.

cause we've got things to celebrate:

being excited to graduate,
school ending on a good note,
jake's finals are done,
and
when good things happen to those who wait.

i feel very humbled and grateful for events in my life.

they make me stronger,
and even more appreciative of when good things happen.

that's when we pull out the bubbly :)

we loved being in flip flops so much

then comes the very close second of chips and salsa.
they are so much better than the chips and salsa here.
i didn't know what i was missing.

jake's favorite was the strawberry daiquiri.

ashley's favorite:
chuppa suckers.
we cleaned mexico out.

we also discovered the drink called miami vice.
it's pina colada and strawberry daiquiri mixed.
yum.

last but not least,
their fried ice cream.
delicious.

ever since we've been home i have been craving everything.
but,
utah's selection just doesn't do the trick.

i'm in bit of a mess.

we wanted to start things off right

so we went to the first presidency's christmas devotional.
it also helps to get a spiritual reboot.
