he might just get the idea to get me a mountain bike
and then i'll really be in trouble.

tis the month of birthdays

and little mad-dog turned one.

we had quite the pool party.
and he quite enjoyed his first cake.

he's getting older

it's my little bro's birthday today.
kills me how fast he's grown up.

last week i watched him hip hop dance
and died over his killer moves.
this kiddo can break it down.
of course the ladies went wild.

i promise i'm not adopted

i used to be a brunette just like my sisters.
but with the recent hair change,
not so much.

they each have their own style and personality,
but even still, you can tell they are thacker girls.
(the freckles give it away.)

oh, and, jamie is back (the second one on the left)
and i'm beyond happy she's here.
we hung out every night last week and i'm sure it will be the same this week.
(the cottage is being neglected. oops!)

tonight we may brave the shopping mall...
but if not, i'm enjoying spending time with my sisters.
even if i look like a cousin.

masters in disguise

for my dad's 50th birthday,
we decided to be sneaky sneaky.
all day long we send encrypted notes, hints, and treats.
but for the final phase...we had to go in.

so we were on our way...

up the stairs..

and took him by surprise in his office.

we made him put on the "vest of shame",
blind folded him,
and stole him away.
(he didn't know we took this picture. ha! sneaky again!)

after jessie's (long) detour
we brought the package safely to the surprise party.
and i must say, he was surprised.

mission accomplished.

we should have our own theme music...

his first experience

over the weekend i introduced jake to thai village in american fork.

after the curry and the chicken platter,
jake was hooked.
duh. so good.

because of my program (again)

i met these lovelies- kelly and anna.
here we are on kelly, dallin, and brecken's special day.
(aka baby blessing)

hopefully jake and i can be just as great parents.

in touch with our hick side

we've attended two rodeos the past two weekends.

our inner utah roots just couldn't keep away.

we even wore our cowboy boots.

i think the saying is: giddy-up!

it's been a good week. i've been waiting for a long long long long time for this.
