i ate this the other night...

and had to share how pretty it looked before i devoured it.
my sister, jessie, introduced us to a cute little cafe in slc called The Oasis.
and i ate the halibut.

it was scrumdillyumscious.
(yes, i can use that word if i want to.)

my mom surprised us

and what a good little surprise.
she got us tickets to The Lion King.

incredible.
holy cow loved it.

thanks mom.
long live our tradition of musicals.

side note: this was jake's first.
and he loved it.
i think we made a break through...

looking forward

life is about to get crazy and i can't wait.
school starts wednesday which means i head in full force with teaching school, interpreting, and teaching dance.
my days will be long but oh so worth it.
i only wish that the summer weather could stay year round.
i'll miss the green and red roses outside our door.
but if it means loosing the color to start working in my dream jobs, i'll take it.

it's like a candy store

and oh boy, am i loving vanilla right now.
berry vanilla, coconut vanilla, and lemon vanilla to be exact.
lovin them so much i bought all 3.
thanks bath and body works for my own personal candy shop.

let's hear it for the boys

jake went out of town on a campout and my parents went to LA for the weekend, so i had my little bros the past few days. we ate tons of food, watched movies, and well...had a good time.


they were the best little protectors while my hubby was away. and between the two of them, they had me crackin up. looking forward to when jake goes away again...who knows what will happen.

holy cow torrential rain storm

did any of you experience that down-pour today?
i did while walking out to my car after work.
soaked.

but i love summer rain storms
especially the pretty clouds afterward.
and the smell.
