finally the finale

and i am super pleased.
i was a little worried about her taste in the beginning,
but she pulled through.

hopefully this reality t.v. couple can survive reality
cause, as we all know--love, it don't come easy.

so we went to the yozone again.
his choice was cheescake with strawberries.

mine was pineapple, coconut, mango
with sprinkles.

leaking

our lovely swamp cooler has sprung leak.
when we turn it on, water leaks through the fire detector,
onto the night stand.
(that route surprises me. maybe it likes to be it's own leak)

needless to say, we opted to stay at my grandparents
rather than bear the heat in that small upstairs apartment.
(heat rises remember)

repair man should be coming...
hopefully soon or else we might have parts of soggy-ceiling in our bed.

(actually, it was my ten year old brother who carried the whole team)

alright all you new mommies out there

it's my sister's birthday
and i have NO IDEA what to get her.
she just had a baby,
so i don't want to give her baby gifts
(she had showers for that)

so what do i get a new mommy?
some of you have been there,
and that's why i'm asking.
what was something you got (or didn't get) after having a baby
that was the best idea ever?
(cause you know, i'm defending my title as best aunt/sister here)

just a little incentive

(after scrimping and saving for two years it better be cancun!)

project restoration

so we bought another jeep. (for the price of a couch i swear). it was cheap because the engine is out of commission. so jake, being the amazing man that he is, is taking the engine from the rolled jeep and putting it in the new jeep. amazing, i know.

nope, it's just the engine and the transmision.
so huge.

our beloved jeep.
sigh.
we only had for a few months.
thanks for a good run, and a good running engine.

and our new one! it's the EXACT same as the other one.
jake did soooooo good.
and he is doing the swap on his own.
and that saves a lot of mula.

we are also going to take the lift off the other jeep and put it on this one.
it's like we never even wrecked.
(which i would love to get out of my memory)
now we have to remove the engine from this one.
i will post pics.
