Flippin finally!  For a few years now, and every Bijou Market, I collected a few pieces for my vacant kitchen wall.  A little picky maybe?  Uh yes, but worth it!

And, remember when I got the itch to redecorate?  Well the family room makeover is complete.  For now.  New pillows, a canvas I tried to paint on my own (wrote really), and a new rug did the trick.  I think I can finally say The Cottage is complete.  Goodness gracious after two years we really should be.

For our Memorial Day, we are taking a little trip down to California for the week.  So I'll be seeing you next Monday.  Until then,

 Our little 100 South Park sure did us some good last week.  It has a cute little splash pad that Myer's been exploring when it was dry, so I loved his surprised face when water came out of it.  His favorite thing.  I am so looking forward to playing in the water with my 1 yr. old this summer.  I even signed us up for Mommy and Me swim lessons.  What a riot.  So yes, we are looking forward to being water-logged this summer.  Before you know it, we'll turn into fish.

On that really hot day in May (Monday) we took full advantage and hit up the pool.  Come on summer!

Myer was invited to his first friend's birthday party.  Meet Mickey.  Same age as Myer and just as crazy.  When these two see each other at church it's cute, but loud.  They instantly recognize one another, point, wave, and, that's right, make car sounds.  So we were excited to be invited to Mickey's big day.  I hope we stay in this ward long enough to see them play in nursery together.  (I wouldn't even mind kindergarten.  Did I just drop the "k" word??)  Whatever happens I hope they stay friends.  I mean what's speaks friendship more than synchronized car sounds?

I'm happy to say that one of my sisters that lived out of state moved back!  (One down, one to go...)  We had a little soiree at her house to welcome her back--chicken and veggie cilantro shish kabobs, reeses ice cream, and Star Wars Kinect.  Myer and Remmie found their favorite place in the new apartment and played by the door the whole time.

More than thrilled I have another member of my family close.  Myer and Remmie are best little friends that search the floors for food together, so two peas in a pod really.  So happy we're all reunited.  Family is so great.  Welcome back Jess!

My college roommates from freshman and sophomore year still remain some of my closest friends.  And we just had to get together to throw Emily and baby Gruber a well deserved shower.  I think we've been there for each other for birthdays, showers, weddings, and everything in between, so I was looking forward to another celebration just to see them all again.  

 

I am really excited for Em to have a boy because Myer needs a red headed friend to match.  Regardless of my selfish wishes, Emily and Jason will be great parents and I can't wait for them to join the parents club.  The more the merrier, and understanding of 7:00 bedtimes.
