finally the finale

and i am super pleased.
i was a little worried about her taste in the beginning,
but she pulled through.

hopefully this reality t.v. couple can survive reality
cause, as we all know--love, it don't come easy.

his choice was cheescake with strawberries.

mine was pineapple, coconut, mango
with sprinkles.

leaking

our lovely swamp cooler has sprung leak.
when we turn it on, water leaks through the fire detector,
onto the night stand.
(that route surprises me. maybe it likes to be it's own leak)

needless to say, we opted to stay at my grandparents
rather than bear the heat in that small upstairs apartment.
(heat rises remember)

repair man should be coming...
hopefully soon or else we might have parts of soggy-ceiling in our bed.

a taylor family favorite.

everyone was super serious about it.

(actually, it was my ten year old brother who carried the whole team)
but i like to think i had a part in it.
needless to say it was a fun 24th.
it was a "ball"

alright all you new mommies out there

it's my sister's birthday
and i have NO IDEA what to get her.
she just had a baby,
so i don't want to give her baby gifts
(she had showers for that)

so what do i get a new mommy?
some of you have been there,
and that's why i'm asking.
what was something you got (or didn't get) after having a baby
that was the best idea ever?
(cause you know, i'm defending my title as best aunt/sister here)
